Good entertainment never goes out of style and The Fabulous Darnells prove that at every performance of the YANKEE DOODLE CIRCUS. Thunderous applause and hearty laughs fill the showplace when The Darnells sparkle in the ring. Elfie, Trude, Hanne-Lore and Kurt, plus all the poodles, have tickled the hearts in Children of All Ages during several editions of "The Happiest Show in the Whole-Wide World".

YANKEE DOODLE CIRCUS, "The Happiest Show in the Whole Wide World" delighted Children of All Ages at Six Flags when it was featured as a SPECIAL ATTRACTION and played to overflowing audiences.

Johnny Peers and his Muttville Comixs...I met Johnny on April 3, 1971 when he was on Ringling Red and I was being interviewed for Clown College, I was only 14. Little did we know that we would be in show business for so long. Johnny and Company have appeared with Yankee Doodle Circus many times.

In addition to our regular tour, THE YANKEE DOODLE CIRCUS performers have appeared on LIVE with REGIS and KELLY, America's #1 show in the morning.

The Sue and Rudi Lenz Chimpanzees appeared with a little show that nobody ever heard of (that was us). Since their appearance with the YANKEE DOODLE CIRCUS 22 years ago, Good Luck has always been on our side. Great in the ring and even greater backstage!

RBBB Circus World "How to Ride an Elephant, Lesson 1"

Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Clown College 1974--elephant riding class, Mike atop the Amazing Anna May, a member of the BUCKLES AND BARBARA WOODCOCK elephant herd.

This was THE DAY that I met Buckles, Barbara and Ben and started a 30 year love affair with Anna May.

Do you come from a Circus or Show Business background?
No, I'm just a kid from New York City who feel in love with the circus.
Tell us about yourself and your background!
I saw Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, "The Greatest Show on Earth", when I was 5 at the old Madison Square Garden in NYC, I came home and announced to the family that I was going to be a clown in the circus, they laughed and I was hooked.

I was inseperable from the television when Ed Sullivan, Hollywood Palace, Red Skelton, International Showtime and all the variety shows were airing.

Attended RBBB Clown College, 1974; then traditional college where I worked on two degrees: theatre and business administration (show + business, get it?).

Postponed Law School (to study Immigration and Entertainment Law) to return to the circus. What was I thinking? I like the law, but I love the circus.

Worked as a clown and/or Ringmaster on the following:

* Pan American
* Royal Hanneford
* Wayne McCary's Maine Dates
* Hubler International
* M&M Circus Internationale
* Bauer-Hall Enterprises
* Emmett Kelly, Jr.
* Royal Canadian Circus
* International All-Star
* Circus Vegas (Montreal)
* Caesar Casino's Circus Maximus
* Ed MIgley's Circus Odyssey
* Hamid-Morton
* Hamid Circus
* Circus Vargas (promotional)
* Ringling (special events)
* William Kay Productions
* Royal Palace
* Garden Brothers (Canada)
* CBS-TV Clown College Special
with Dick Van Dyke
* Also, the make-believe circus shows I did in my backyard as a child.

Presented the Yankee Doodle Circus' PONY EXPRESS, a liberty act of 8 miniature horses. (Thank you Dick Kohlrieser, John and Mary Ruth Herriott).

Film: Manchurian Candidate (remake), Alfie (remake), Bourne Supremacy, others

Commercials: Sierra Mist, Toyota, Brooks Brothers, Schering-Plough, others

*****

Featured variety act in a summer season of Broadway's SUGAR BABIES, "The Burlesque Musical". (I'm still laughing)

Founded NAUGHTON ATTRACTIONS, an advertising-promotion-special events company. The past few years we've expanded our services to include: graphic design, web design and ticket distribution via direct mail. These new departments grew out of our success with our own circus.

Created the YANKEE DOODLE CIRCUS in 1987.

Our smaller show KNICKERBOCKER'S FAMOUS NEW YORK CIRCUS plays the smaller venues, in addition to private and corporate functions.

*****

The college sweethearts, Nora and I, will be celebrating our 30th Anniversary this year.

The next generations are: Katie, Maggie and Elizabeth. The Prince of the Circus, grandson Joey, is 6 and thinks he is the boss.

Katie and MJ (Margaret) are both out of college; Katie worked in management for Ringling's retail operation (Red Unit) on the road; she's now with her own family and their dairy farm. MJ spent part of her senior year in college as an intern at Feld Entertainment, NYC, where she worked on promotions for Ringling and Disney on Ice.

Elizabeth is 14 and is our company's official IT manager; she is a wiz on the computer.

I have the best job in the world because I get to go to the circus everyday.

The audience has fun, we have fun, the audience pays us and then we all go home, simple.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Hi Mike,
Hope that this picture will suffice. I like the matching blanket on Nickel who was one of Jeannette's horses. Thank you, for all the support you give to our circus family. Although, time and distance separates us we are unified by our dedication to bringing joy to the lives of others.
in hope and peace,
Adaline
